What do you do when you are in the mood to get creative yet the city is on lockdown waiting to see what a particular hurricane does?
When your this one, you grab your gear and join a band in one of their practice sessions. Yes, it was a restless day and the last thing I wanted to do was get stuck indoors. Especially when there was a good potential to be forced to stay indoors in a few hours if Hurricane Matthew decided to pay us a little visit. I think that made me even more restless.
I was in the mood to shoot and certainly create. Not to mention I was still very new to shooting with the Babe and wanted to get in some more shutter time. Well, I always want that to be honest. Photography is my passion, not just what I do. It is my drug.
So when the urge for creativity and the desire to shoot is strong, you don’t allow it to be caged. I would have gone around my house shooting anything at this point. The dog, the cat, people, inanimate objects, name it. Luckily, a little bird told me that Sunny South was at the studio putting some finishing touches on some new tracks they were adding to their set list. You didn’t need to tell me twice.
I grabbed the Babe and jumped in the car making a beeline straight for the studio. Once again, I love shooting in studios. That atmosphere always gets me. Plus, who could turn down some good company, good music and lens time? Not me.
So here are my favorites. You can also check out the full set on my Facebook page. Yes I was leaning more on the creative side with my compositions. I was in that mood. I hope you enjoy and as always, feedback is certainly welcome.
As always,
The Queen
