The Fritz Doin’ Their Thing

I’m back and while it hasn’t been that long, this post is quite an accomplishment….

Here’s the why. In the midst of the busy month of February, with all the photos I had to edit, the blogs I had to write and the galleries I had to create, my external drive containing all my work died a young death. The worst part about it was that while I had all my images backed up from last year, February’s photos were not yet uploaded nor had I completed putting them on my secondary backup.

What does that mean? It meant that I basically not only had to recover the older files from online as well as various smaller drives, I had to do some data recovery on the damaged drive and the flash cards that previously contained the photos all while finishing up the clients images and still work my day job.

We’re talking about soon to be 6 years of completed photos, customized settings and three full nights of gigs. Sounds like fun doesn’t it? Thankfully I’m a bit of a gadget geek. Now, I managed on getting everything back however I do have to re-edit a couple of sets I have yet to post. The last hurdle so-to speak.

One of those sets I’m able to bring to you here and now. Ladies and gentleman, I’m bringing to you The Fritz. I managed on catching their set at Culture Room while I was there photographing Pigeons Playing Ping Pong and let me tell you I was impressed. These guys were great. They no doubt had the crowd energized and amped up. I’m going to link their Spotify here and you will certainly enjoy giving them a listen. I was pleasantly surprised by their set. Especially with them closing it out with a cover of “War Pigs” and a keyboard being played like a guitar. You’ll see what I mean if you browse my Facebook album with the full set. For this entry, I’ll give you my top 15. I do so love working Culture Room. The ceiling alone gets me creative. Go see the pictures, you’ll see.

I have to go back to that grind though. There are three more bands to re-edit. Such is live. Thankfully I love what I do.
