There are certain things that when given the opportunity, you take it. I for one most certainly do. So when I had seent that there was one particular artist that was going to be having a performance locally, you know I made my way there.
Now, while this post isn’t about that artist, in particular, I’ll get to him in my next entry, it is about Juke. Yes, as it turns out this particular night was a win-win for me. While I really dig them, I haven’t been to a Juke show in years. You know how it goes, life gets in the way sometimes. So as it stood, I definitely made it a point to attend this doubleheader for me.
For those of you that have never heard of Juke, I’ll tell you a bit about them before I share with you my top 5. Juke is a blues band, but not your everyday blues, no. Juke’s blues are angsty, powerful, impactful, and relevant. You are guaranteed to have a good time and if you want to see for yourself and you’re local to South Florida, go to their socials and check them out.
I have to say, there is something about when I go shooting live for my own personal enjoyment. Why? Because I can put the camera down when I choose to stop and enjoy the music. I packed light as it was an outdoor and casual venue so it was just me, the Beast, and my favorite all-around lens, the 24-70mm. The reality is that is all I really need usually when I shoot live music.
Now, on to the goods, because you know, it’s what I do. As always, there is a full set to be found on my Facebook page and you’ll see them periodically posted on my Instagram though I did get together my top 5 favorites so that you could see a little of what I see. I appreciate the feedback so let me know what you all think. As always thank you for your time. See you all again soon.
