January 16 at Revolution Live in Fort Lauderdale felt like a full-circle moment.

The last time I saw In The End was about a year ago in Fort Myers, and before that, it had been nearly two years since they last played my hometown venue. Missing them at Revolution Live for that long made this night hit differently — partly anticipation, partly nostalgia, and partly knowing exactly how good they’ve become over time.

Because that’s the thing about this band: every time I see them, they’re better.

Hearing these songs live — songs that shaped an entire generation — paired with the passion these musicians bring to the stage makes it feel almost indistinguishable from seeing the band itself. Chester’s presence is honored in a way that feels intentional, reverent, and alive. The phrase “make Chester proud” gets thrown around a lot, but In The End takes it to another level. You don’t just hear it — you feel it.

The room was electric. Revolution Live was fully awake. Every lyric landed, every note carried weight, and the crowd was locked in from the first song to the last. Photographing this show was a challenge in the best way — not because of lighting or movement, but because I kept catching myself singing along, vibing, and forgetting for a moment that I was there to shoot.

One of my favorite moments — and one that always stands out — is when Chris Hodges steps off the stage and into the crowd. Locking eyes. Holding hands. Creating that one-on-one connection that turns a concert into a shared experience. This time, it hit even harder when Danny Lopez joined him, climbing onto the bar tops and pulling the entire room into the moment. It wasn’t staged. It wasn’t forced. It was genuine connection.

And while those moments are unforgettable, this band is far more than any two members. It’s the collective energy, the chemistry, and the respect they have for the music and the people listening. That’s why I love photographing them — and why this show, in particular, stood out.

The night was made even more special with Elias Soriano of Nonpoint joining them, adding another layer of intensity and meaning to an already powerful set. It was one of those moments that reminds you why live music still matters — why it continues to bring people together in ways nothing else can.

Some music never leaves you.

Some performances don’t fade.

And in the end — it still matters.

Moments like these are why I keep coming back — camera in hand, voice half gone, fully present.

Below are my top ten images from the night, frames that captured the energy, connection, and legacy that In The End continues to carry forward.

There’s something undeniable about Kristopher James when he steps on stage. It’s not just the voice—though that alone could stop traffic—it’s the way he occupies space. On a night lit up by electric performances, he didn’t just open for Nicotine Dolls; he set the tone.

Performing at Banyan Live in West Palm Beach, Kristopher James brought an intimacy to the room that you don’t often find in larger venues. His voice? Smooth and soul-laced. His delivery? Pure storytelling. And the crowd? Silent when they needed to be, singing when they had to. The man knows how to lead a room without demanding it.

Originally from Florida’s West Coast, Kristopher James is the kind of artist who connects. There’s a warmth in his performance, an edge to his rhythm, and a quiet power in how he holds a note. From behind the lens, I wasn’t just documenting a set—I was capturing presence. The kind that reminds you what live music is supposed to feel like.

For promoters, talent buyers, and media curators looking for an artist who knows how to pull a crowd in without shouting for it—pay attention. Kristopher James is more than a supporting act. He’s a moment waiting to headline.

Now, let me get to my top 5 and as always, you can check out a few more on my Facebook page.

It was a perfect February night in West Palm Beach, Nicotine Dolls took the stage at The Banyan Live, presented by Heroes Live Entertainment, and proved exactly why they’ve become one of the most dynamic indie-pop rock bands to follow. Having followed their trajectory since 2017, I was eager not just to hear them live—but to capture the emotional grit and theatrical presence that sets them apart.

Armed with my Canon and a 24–70mm lens, I documented the first three tracks under standard photo pass access protocol before stepping back to absorb the rest of the performance. The energy shift was immediate—within seconds of stepping onstage, frontman Sam Cieri had the room leaning forward, drawn in by a voice that crackles with vulnerability, control, and tension all at once.

The setlist fused lyrical intimacy with sharp musicianship. From tightly layered harmonies to spontaneous bursts between guitar and sax, the band moved as one—balancing charisma and cohesion in a way rarely seen in smaller, club-style venues like The Banyan.

From a photographer’s perspective, the lighting was a dream. Purples and ambers swept across the stage, sculpting mood and motion without overwhelming the frame. With minimal gear and no flash, I leaned into dynamic storytelling—capturing movement, emotion, and the unmistakable chemistry between the band members.

But what impressed me most wasn’t just the execution—it was the presence. This wasn’t a band running through a setlist. They were in it. Fully alive, fully connected. And that authenticity? It translates. Effortlessly.

I’ve covered a lot of live music, across genres and stages, and I can say this with certainty:

Nicotine Dolls aren’t just photogenic—they’re photodynamic.

They don’t just perform. They connect. And that makes them not just worth photographing—but worth following.

So enough talking. Let me show you my top five captures from the night.

You can view the full set over on my Facebook page, and I’ll be sharing more here and there on Instagram at @ThroughTheEyesofAQueen

Fake Fest 2024

As always, I had my trusty Canon 5D Mark IV slung over my shoulder, paired with my go-to workhorse: the 24-70mm lens. Versatile enough to dance between wide crowd energy and tight performer focus without missing a beat. Nothing fancy. Nothing overthought. Just what works when instinct hits—and the stage starts breathing fire.

I wasn’t there to shoot.

Or was I?

Let’s just start there. Hardwired, a Metallica tribute band I’ve come to know and support, was taking the stage at Fake Fest—an event packed with enough amps, attitude, and throwback adrenaline to fuel a decade of chaos. I went to cheer them on. That was the plan.

But you know me. Plans break.

Somewhere between the rumble of the first riff and the crowd roaring like a beast with a thousand voices, I reached for my camera. No client. No checklist. Just instinct—that gut-pull that says, “Catch this. Don’t let it vanish.”

What followed was a night that felt like time travel and thunder all at once. Tribute bands poured their hearts into legendary sets, but for me, the lens kept drifting back to Hardwired. The lights weren’t always kind. The smoke wasn’t always placed. But the energy? The devotion?

Undeniable.

These images? They’re not clean. They’re not staged.

They’re loud, emotional, and beautifully imperfect.

Just like the music.

The Top 5

[See image gallery at throughtheeyesofaqueen.com]

I could’ve posted them all. Believe me—I was tempted. But there’s something about restraint. About choosing the frames that hit the hardest. The ones that hold sound even when you’re staring at silence.

So here they are—my top five from that night with Hardwired at Fake Fest. No fancy edits. No fluff. Just moments frozen in sweat, smoke, and sound.

Each one says something.

Where do I even start? I never thought I’d have to write a post like this, yet here I am. This post is my way of paying homage to a stand-up guy, Jimmy Wooten. Last week, not only did the music world lose a phenomenal drummer, but the world lost an incredible man. Jimmy Wooten, a.k.a. “Woot” or “Jimmy Dub Drums,” passed away far too soon.

Woot was so much more than just a drummer. He was the heartbeat behind the band GEARS, but above all, he was a beloved friend, mentor, father figure, and an all-around genuinely good person. If you knew him, you were lucky. If you didn’t, you would’ve wanted to.

It’s been heartwarming to see on his socials just how much of an impact he had on so many lives. Yet, I am still in absolute shock to learn that he’s no longer with us. I’ll never forget the first time I met him. He was like a sleeping bear, sprawled out on a couch while the rest of the band was busy recording GEARS’ first EP. From there, we’d go on to share countless games of pool, whiskey-fueled conversations, and laughs before shows.

I’m honestly gutted. I can’t even begin to imagine the pain his loved ones are feeling. Still, I send all my love and respect to Jimmy and his family during this incredibly difficult time. The music scene lost someone special, but the world lost a truly beautiful soul.

Though I’m unable to donate much to the GoFundMe set up in his honor, I encourage anyone who can give what they can. It will surely make a difference and help support his family during this tragic time.

From the bottom of my heart,

Jimmy, You are Missed.

Hello and welcome, readers!

It’s me again. I know it’s been a little while since my last post. What can I say? Like all of us lately, I’ve been caught up in the whirlwind of life. But that doesn’t mean I haven’t been behind my lens. I’ve just not had quite the time to dive into the digital world. Still, I’ve got so many images to share with you all, and my plan is to get them out there at least bi-weekly. There won’t be any particular order—just picking a name out of the hat, so to speak.

That being said, let’s dive into it, shall we?

Cheap Trick at Hard Rock Live, Hollywood, FL

In December, I had the chance to cover one of my favorite bands, Cheap Trick, at the Hard Rock Live in Hollywood, Florida. As someone who grew up with their music, it was a thrilling experience to see them still rocking the stage, living their best life, and showing that rock ‘n’ roll is timeless.

What made this night even more special was that the band was gracious enough to let us photographers get up close and personal with the stage. There I was, armed with my trusty 2.8 24-70mm lens, ready to capture the magic. It was one of those moments where everything just clicked.

Of course, they played their classic hits, and I couldn’t have asked for a better night. The energy, the crowd, and the band’s passion—it was unforgettable.

Here are my top 5 favorite shots from the night. And if you want to see a few more, you can always check out my Facebook page for the full set.

Now, let’s hear from you.
If you’re a fan of Cheap Trick, what’s your favorite song of theirs? Drop a comment below—I’d love to hear what resonates with you!

After much anticipation, I finally had the chance to witness the iconic ZZ Top live in concert, and let me tell you, it was everything I had hoped for and more. Last year, “That little ol’ band from Texas” made their way to South Florida’s iTHINK Financial Amphitheatre, and the experience was nothing short of legendary.

**The Beards and Beyond**

ZZ Top’s trademark beards were as impressive in person as they are in photos, and they did not disappoint. Alongside the impressive facial hair, Billy Gibbons dazzled with his signature 17-string guitar, showcasing his unparalleled skill and showmanship. But it wasn’t just the beards and the guitars that made the night special. The band had a cute little robot, affectionately shown some love before they kicked off their set. It’s these quirky, memorable touches that make ZZ Top truly unique.

**A Concert to Remember**

Despite some fans’ calls for the band to retire, ZZ Top proved with this performance that they still have the blues in their veins and the rock in their souls. They delivered a show full of energy and passion, reminding everyone why they’ve remained relevant and beloved since their inception in 1971.

**An Unforgettable Venue**

iTHINK Financial Amphitheatre is a fantastic venue that really captures the essence and energy of live performances. The intimate atmosphere made the concert even more special, and I couldn’t have asked for a better place to see ZZ Top perform. There’s something about the way the venue connects with the crowd that amplifies the whole experience.

**Remembering Dusty**

One poignant moment of the evening was the tribute to Dusty Hill, who passed away a few years ago. His presence was felt throughout the performance, and the band’s tribute to him was both heartfelt and powerful. Even in his absence, Dusty’s spirit was alive in every note they played.

**A Final Note**

For those who have yet to see ZZ Top live, I cannot recommend it highly enough. The experience is something you won’t regret—it’s a chance to witness rock history and feel the blues in their purest form. And if you’re curious to see more from the concert, check out the images I’ve posted on my Facebook page.

In the meantime, enjoy this top 10 list of unforgettable ZZ Top moments, and let the music live on. Until next time, keep rocking and stay tuned for more exciting updates!

Feel free to share your own ZZ Top experiences or favorite moments in the comments below. I’d love to hear from fellow fans!

Today though I am making time to catch up on your backlog and prepare for the gig with Hardwired at Revolution next weekend. They were taken with my trustworthy sidepiece, The Beast with my go-to lens the 24-70mm. That being said am catching up and sharing some of my favorite images taken the last time I covered them at Revolution Live. It’s all about moments and capturing them so here are my top 5 favorites. Yes, it’s a quick entry but you’re not here for the writing, you are here for the photos. You will find some more on my Facebook page and of course, you are welcome to have a look at them.

The year was 1992 and here I was listening for the first time ever to the Siren, Tori Amos. It’s been almost 31 years since I first became a fan of this woman listening over and over again to Little Earthquakes.

Just over 30 years since I first heard this track named “Silent All These Years’, instantly falling in love with not just Tori’s voice, but the voice she gave so many of us. While it was not her first debut, it was certainly the album that made me a Tori fan, so much so that she helped inspire my red hair. I don’t use the term “Siren” lightly though this woman has earned it for me. I had to see her live and more still, I had to try and capture it.

I was blessed with the opportunity to capture her perform her magic at the Kravis Center for the Performing Arts this last June and for me, it was indeed a night I will treasure. She was everything I could have imagined and positively spectacular. The best part about it for me was that not only did I have the honor of capturing some beautiful images, but the universe was also so kind to place me in the path of a couple of beautiful ladies that gifted me with a balcony seat ticket so that I can continue to watch the show when my work was done.

It was really a great night for me both on a personal level and from a portfolio standpoint as I was able to sit back and enjoy the beauty of her music. Now, this post would not be a post on my blog without my top 5 of the evening so here they are in all their magic. I hope you enjoy them as much as I enjoy her and of course, there are a few more images to be found on my Facebook page so you all can see just how cute she is.

Until next time,

Life is fleeting. It is to be enjoyed. – Tori Amos

It’s time to give you all a minor update. I guess you could say that I have been taking a hiatus, a sabbatical, but not really. I have been focusing on things outside of photography because time waits for no man.

While I do have my clients that I work for, my socials are the ones that are lacking my attention. Still the same, there are posts that just beg to be shared at some point or another, and for me, today is the day to show you one of my favorite things to shoot; fire. Well, not just fire, but beauty and fire. I love my fire spinners. I love working with them and hold a passion for their craft with the utmost importance. If you asked me what is my favorite genre to capture, I would say that it is the genre of performance. Now I know that is not really considered to be technically a genre/style of photography. After all, it’s not landscape, street, urban, portraits, weddings, etc. It’s not a usual and typical answer when asked what you like to shoot, but for me it is.

You see, whether it be a musician on stage or a fire spinner wielding their poi of choice, I really do love capturing the moments where individuals are in the element of their passion. Passion is the fuel. Passion is a fire that drives us. So with that, I’ll make this quick. I have my favorite shots of this one particular shoot with one of my favorite spinners. Yes, not only is she talented, she is positively beautiful and highly recommended. Feel free to hit her up on her socials. Until then, I will keep you all in my best thoughts.

Here are my top 5 and you already know there are a few more on my Facebook page. Click away and let me know what you think.
