GEARS – Pride Comes Before the Fall

It’s with great excitement that I’m writing this post. For several reasons, actually. First and foremost, on a personal level I was able to make it out to Cheers in Ft. Lauderdale this last Friday night to support some friends of mine and my favorite bands. I love going out to see live music, meeting new people and in general, having a great time. Secondly, and equally as important, I got to shoot live. Now, mind you, it’s been quite some time since I’ve shot live music. It hasn’t been easy for me to find the time lately although it is my favorite type of photography. This particular event though, I could not miss.  (more…)

Wish You Were Here

I am water child. It calms, soothes and centers me. With the loss of a loved one recently, I needed just that and so I took my camera along with me to Hollywood Beach. My father loved my landscape shots and I figured going to the beach would be a win-win situation.  (more…)

Tree Tops and a Hike

Well, hello, hello readers and friends alike. After a slight detour due to life, I bring to you my newest set. I woke up early last Sunday morning in love with the beauty that was the day. It wasn’t just the weather either, the whole day had an incredible energy that was intoxicating. All I could think of was grabbing my camera and being outside, taking in the fresh air and feeling the ground beneath my feet. So I pulled up my list of places I would love to shot and decided to head to Tree Tops Park in Davie, Florida. Off I went in search of what I needed, after a quick pit stop at Starbucks of course. Zen at Morikami

There’s nothing like checking something off your to-do list. For myself it was going to Morikami Museum and Japanese Gardens in Delray Beach. Granted, it was a little over an hour’s drive from my house, however it was worth the trip. Initially the plan was to go on Saturday, though upon waking the weather was rather gloomy and I did not want to make the trip only to be unable to take pictures. Sunday I gave it another go. Of course it got a little dreary by the time I arrived at the gardens, though at that point, headed back empty handed was not an option. (more…)

Best of Cheers

Finally. After a week and a half of juggling my work life and photography, I am able to bring to you this set. I originally wanted to narrow down this collection to 15 photos, however there was simply no way for me to do so this time around. I mean, how could I? (more…)

Wings In The Morning

Hello fans and friends alike. The queen was on vacation this week and while most of my plans fell through, I still managed on making the best if it. I’ve been wanting and meaning to go to Butterfly World in Ft. Lauderdale for months now and what better time to do it then with time off from work. I got there as soon as soon they opened Monday morning and immediately upon walking through the first exhibit, a smile was instantly brought upon my face. All these beautiful creatures flitting about, how could you not immediately feel the tranquility? I stayed there for several hours and even a brief rainstorm, yet I couldn’t be happier.

Urban Rebel at STFUfest

This set is that of Urban Rebel also performing at STFUfest at Ft. Lauderdale’s Culture Room. This band was fantastic and I’m not just saying so because we are friends with the guitarist. These guys were great. Urban Rebel is a groove rock and heavy funk band from Miami, Florida formed in 2007. The band consists of vocalist Will Gonzalez, aka Trip “6”, bassist Laszlo Piringer, aka” LaC”, guitarist Alex Jose Gonzalez aka “Jim BOB”, DJ Barry GoldWater III and female drummer Elisa Seda, aka “E. Otherwise known as a great bunch of people. (more…)

Black Jacket at STFUfest

Last weekend my wolf and I made it out to the Culture Room in Ft. Lauderdale to attend STFUfest. What started out as a night of support for two of our friends and their bands, turned in to a great night full of music and good times. We haven’t been to any shows in a little while and I figured what better way to get back in to the scene than to show some love for some very hard working and dedicated individuals. This particular set is that of Black Jacket. I will be honest, I wasn’t sure what to expect when Captain Jack stepped out on stage, however it turned out to be a great set and these boys really know how to rock. (more…)
