+LIVE+ as one Bayfront Amphitheater

I’m not sure if you can even begin to guess how excited I am to be sharing the next two sets with you.

I suppose I can try to explain though I’m not sure how well that will turn out. I am over the moon. Yes, I am that thrilled to be coming to you with this installment of my most recent assignment with I’m Music Magazine. As I mentioned in my previous post, August 17th was an amazing night of music for me and I was more than happy to be covering this event up close and personal from the pit at Bayfront Amphitheater.

This particular collection I’m bringing to you today is my Top 10 favorite photos of the band bringing the night to a close, LIVE. Another amazing band from my youth, recently reunited and touring alongside BUSH and Our Lady Peace on The Altinate Tour. They went there separate ways back on 2009 and getting back together recently on 2016 although it’s as if they’ve never missed a beat. They are as amazing as ever and their set further drove that point home for me.

While I am posting this set first, they did close out the night performance wise having had BUSH hitting the stage in direct support. LIVE dotted every I and crossed every T this Saturday night and before I knew it, my first three song time limit was up and it was time to pack the Beast away. I was just having so much fun with their each members vibe and energy. You’ll have to check out one of their performances yourself if you want to know first-hand what I mean.

In the meanwhile I’m bringing you my Top 10 to try and illustrate just what I mean. Once again I packed light shooting only with my 24-70mm and the mood of this set made it difficult for me to narrow it down that much so of course there’s a few more to peep at on my Facebook page. Though if you’re pressed for time this should give you a fairly good idea of just how epic it was for me and all in attendance.

So go on, have a peek and maybe even leave some feedback or comments. You know they are welcomed and appreciated.

The Fritz Doin’ Their Thing

I’m back and while it hasn’t been that long, this post is quite an accomplishment….

On The Run, Turkuaz at Wynwood Yard

I’m not normally at a complete loss for words when I’ve heard a band play live for the first time; however, if there was one band that left me speechless, Turkuaz would be one of them.

(hed)p.e. Live at Kelsey

I’ll fill you guys in on a little secret. I’ve been wanting to check out some (hed) p.e. for quite some time now. Years to be exact. Yet somehow or another something has always gotten in the way. Not this past Friday though. I especially was not going to miss them performing alongside DOPE at the Kelsey Theater. There was just no way.

Dee Snider Rocking It

In a year that seems to have taken so many of the icons of my time, there is one that is still rocking it to this day. Dee Snider.  (more…)

A little behind the scenes action

Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital is one of the area’s leading pediatric care hospitals, offering comprehensive health services and programs in an atmosphere that is child-friendly. That being said, that costs money, plenty of it.

Xperimento at the Yard’s first year

What do you do when a band you dig asks you to come out and photograph them? Why, you say yes, of course. Going out to shoot Xperimento was definitely on the books as a good night.

They, as well as quite a few other groups got together to perform at Wynwood Yard’s first year anniversary and I wasn’t going to miss it. What a great venue. It’s very cute with it’s backyard appeal and not to mention the night was beautiful. Cool and crisp with not a sight of rain. The vibe was great from the moment I got there. From the lights to the tunes, I was definitely feeling it. Then it was time for Xperimento to take the stage and for me to get to work.

Between the energy on stage to the people dancing, there was no way not to have a good time. As for me, I was reveling between lights and shadows and getting lost behind my lens. Can I tell you how much I was loving all the color play going on? Well, before I knew it their set was over and I got to head home and immediately start sorting through my captures. I gave myself a quick sneak peek and was instantly excited.

So here we are, I’ve sent the band their shots, uploaded a smaller set to Facebook and now I bring to you my favorites. It was particularly difficult for me to narrow down the shots which means you guys get to see a bit more than usual, though I don’t think you’ll mind. Do you? Now, if I did my job right, you’ll see just what a great time is to be had when Xperimento is playing live. Check them out if you can.
