Listening to this man do his thing on a steel guitar absolutely blows my mind. It’s almost like when they say that Jimmy Hendrix made his guitar sing, Roosevelt’s guitar has its own melody and it’s one I love to hear. It’s soulful, it’s bluesy, and incredibly easy to get lost in the moment. You know I wasn’t missing out on another chance to witness that sound firsthand. Especially being that it was for the beginning of the return of live music after the pandemic tested us all.

So here I was with the Beast armed with my usual and favorite lens, the 24-70mm, at Hollywood Arts Park enjoying a beautiful evening at the outdoor venue that started off with the epicness that was Juke and I was able to gather a decent little collection of images for you all to see. I kept the mood light in the post-work. I wanted to stay true to the energy of the night and it was such a great vibe. Now, you know the routine, it’s my top 5 here with a full set on my Facebook page.

Let me know what you think and as always thank you so much for your time and for your support. And oh yeah, if you want to check out Roosevelt Collier, visit his Spotify.
