To The Beat of the Drum

“This is what I am talking about: the bewitching power of moonlight. Moonlight incites dark passions like a cold flame, making hearts burning with the intensity of phosphorus.”   Rampo Edogawa (more…)

Pretty Day

It was the kind of day when you wake up in the morning and you feel at peace. The weather was cool, the day was sunny and bright. How can anyone complain on such a gorgeous day? Despite any problems we may have, today was the kind of day one needed to just take a step back and breathe.  (more…)

Celebrate 15 Years

Two weeks ago, I stepped out to my tattoo shop to join in their 15 year celebration. Wow, 15 years already. Congratulations, Almost Famous, great peeps, amazing work and you keep us coming back. The night itself was chilled, glass blowing, fire spinning and music from a couple of locals bands. (more…)

Wish You Were Here

I am water child. It calms, soothes and centers me. With the loss of a loved one recently, I needed just that and so I took my camera along with me to Hollywood Beach. My father loved my landscape shots and I figured going to the beach would be a win-win situation.  (more…)

Impromptu H

Without getting in to the details, there has been quite a bit of waiting these last few days, and while I initially had plans to go out shooting, there was a slight detour and I had the opportunity to spend time with my niece, a.k.a. Mini Me.

Snippets at Lunch

Well, hello there. It’s me again and I am just doing a quick little stop through. Yes, life still has me quite preoccupied, though that hasn’t stopped me from snapping photos here and there. This set is actually just my playing around really briefly with my 50mm prime that has basically been permanently attached to Artemis for the last month or so. I really haven’t had much time to play with it, though I am still quite happy at the times I get to experiment with it.  (more…)

Sunday Sunday

Hello world. It’s the queen again, taking a break from working on some minor changes to the site, to bring to you the last group of photos I’ve been working on. I have been pressed for time as you already know, however I know that I just need to keep shooting. It helps keep my sanity during the crazy times and although I’m desperately missing shooting live music, my schedule hasn’t really allowed for such luxuries as of late. So I do what I must and shoot when I can. (more…)

Walking about the Hammocks

Normally, I like to post a blog entry in tandem with uploading my latest sets on to social media, however this particular time around I haven’t had much time to sit behind the computer and write something out regarding the collection that I’ve shared. Sometimes, it’s much easier to just go out and shoot , edit and just call it a day. I suppose it’s all about time management and while for the most part I’m fairly good at it, lately there is a lot on my plate. That being said, I figured today would be a good a time as any being that I’m presently importing another couple of snaps to work on.  (more…)

Train Spotting, Urbex Style

Hello and Happy New Year readers. I hope this new year has been nothing short of phenomenal so far for you all. As for me, I come to you an excited queen. Finally, after almost a year now, I got to try my hand at some Urbex photography. I love shooting live music, it is by far my favorite type of photography. The lighting, the atmosphere, the people, the energy, I just can’t seem to get enough. However, I also love expanding my horizons and urban exploration has been on my to-do list for quite some time. So with the help of two photog friends and our lovely Mini Coopers, we ventured and we arrived at an abandoned train location in the Miami area and proceeded to attempt to capture what we saw.

Zen at Morikami

There’s nothing like checking something off your to-do list. For myself it was going to Morikami Museum and Japanese Gardens in Delray Beach. Granted, it was a little over an hour’s drive from my house, however it was worth the trip. Initially the plan was to go on Saturday, though upon waking the weather was rather gloomy and I did not want to make the trip only to be unable to take pictures. Sunday I gave it another go. Of course it got a little dreary by the time I arrived at the gardens, though at that point, headed back empty handed was not an option. (more…)
