Hello, hello all. Yes, it has been some time. I’ve been leading quite the busy life lately and I have been trying to get back in a groove so to speak. I suppose you could say it can be difficult to hold a day job, and yet juggle both your home life and no less important, your passion. It’s about time management though and I will get back in to the swing of things. As the saying goes, where there is a will there is a way. I without a doubt have the will.
Now to the reason for my post. This is the first of two posts with what I call the ADD episodes during my recent experience shooting for a magazine’s annual bikini issue. Between waiting for the models to arrive and get hair and makeup done, to the time spent between sets, my eye and lens had a mind of it’s own. It’s funny, whenever I get to my editing and I browse through my shots, I find myself coming across images I don’t even recall taking yet I know that I did because my camera did not leave my hand. It’s second nature to my. Even during my day to day life when I don’t have my camera, or even my phone for that matter, on hand, I still find myself mentally capturing images. Though I digress.
About three weeks ago, after months of waiting, it was time for the shoot that I had been looking forward to. We decided we would do the first of three shoots in the Wynwood District of Dowtown Miami. It was the perfect backdrop to this particular designer’s swimwear and once we got to it, the photography just flowed naturally. I’m waiting until the issue debuts on June 1st before I share the photos of the actual models, though for now I figured why not share with you little bits and pieces of the artwork I came across that day.
For the full set, please visit my Facebook Page, though these are the ones I would pick as my favorites. Feel free to browse through them here or in their entirety on Facebook and as always, shares, likes and comments are always welcomed.
