“You must burn. Burn higher.
Burn for everything you have ever wanted. For everything you have ever lost, for every crack in your heart and every fraction of every irreplaceable moment.
Burn high for love.
For fear. For life.
Burn as fast and as long as you can.
You must burn, burn higher.
Because nothing in this world will kill you faster than a dying fire.”

Despite working 10 hour work days as of late, I couldn’t help but be excited to go out to this month’s full moon drum circle at Miami Beach. I hadn’t been out to a drum circle in a couple of months and I was due for a fix that’s for sure. This month’s meet up definitely did not disappoint. I got to catch up with some friends, take in a gorgeous full moon and of course, them drums. Yes, I know, I’m a dork. I just can’t help it. The mix of fire, the ocean, the moon and a drum beat is just pure bliss for me. Granted, there are always those there that perhaps drink a bit too much and don’t respect other’s space, yet all in all, it’s an amazing time regardless. At least it is for me. Not only am I near the ocean on a full moon, I get to be behind the lens and for me, that is pure bliss.
This particular go around I decided to not really edit my shots much. I was actually loving the glow cast from the fires and of course, the moonlight. I also took a stab at a few long exposure shots just for kicks. I didn’t stay nearly as long as I would have liked, you know, day job and all. Nevertheless, I think they turned out all right. What do you think? Of course, as always, the full set can be found on my Facebook page so feel free to check em.
