I’m a big fan of a venue with great lighting and Propaganda definitely fell on that list for me. From the moment I walked in to the venue last Saturday and saw the red wall, I was instantly excited to get to shooting. I was even more excited to get home and get editing my shots.
It was a bit of a drive though it was worth it. It was my first time ever shooting The Von live and while I loved seeing them in their studio up close and personal, I am thankful to have gotten to see their energy on stage. I overheard someone say that they were great because they don’t make sense as a group. They are certainly each their own individual and I will say, it defnitely works for them. I without a doubt enjoyed myself.
I dug their set and had a great time during their performance. I even found myself inspired to get up on stage with them. I don’t usually get up on stage however, the stage was large enough where I didn’t feel as if I’d get in the way of either their performance or their fans watching them. I know photographers are supposed to do “whatever it takes to get the shot” but I just don’t think that should come at the expense of diminishing other people’s enjoyment of the show. After all, the attendants are there to check out a band, not my little self snapping away.
Still, I was really enjoying myself and well, Artemis was inspired as well. I posted the full set to my Facebook though I picked out a few favorites to share with you here. Enjoy them as much as I did shooting them. Let me know what you think. As always I welcome any and all feedback.
With love,
The Queen
