Xperimento in Transit

Can I start off by saying WOW? Well, that’s exactly how I’m about to begin. Wow, it would be an understatement to say that I am ridiculously excited to bring you this post and the next. Why? I’ll give you two reasons.

The first cause for excitement was that I got to take a friend’s Canon 7D out for a spin. You see, I’m in the market for an upgrade and what better way to see if you like a particular body than to take it for a spin. I was not disappointed in the slightest and it’s definitely a consideration. This entry is not a review though. It is all about my Thursday night at a place that used to be The Stage getting down with two amazing groups which I had been wanting to check out live for quite some time now.

The first group up was Xperimento. They’re Latin, reggae and a little soul all rolled up in one. I positively loved them and will without a doubt check them out the next time. It was kind of hard keeping my feet still while taking these shots as all I wanted to do was dance. I managed though. What can I say, I was a woman on a mission. As for the photos, angles were limited in part by some signs on display as well as the structure of the tent . I was still loving what I captured. These guys got a lot of energy and without a doubt quite a bit of feel good vibes.

I think the pictures give you a decent idea of what I mean. I picked a few of my favorites for you as per usual and you can always check out the full set on my Facebook page. Again, this was my first day out with this camera body and obviously there is a definite learning curve. I still love with and I certainly enjoyed myself. Now, I get to work on the other band’s set of photos and you’ll just have to stay tuned for those.

As for Xperimento, they are definitely a band to check out and bringing your dancing shoes is a must.

As always,

The Queen
