Mekronium Live at O’Malley’s

I did this thing a bit back where I went to see GEARS kick off their summer tour at O’Malley’s last month and got to take in a bit of new music from these guys. Go on, click the read more button.

So there I was knowing better than to put away my camera after the band I’m shooting has ended their set. This particular night was a good example why? Mekronium. I didn’t know what to expect when I saw them setting up the stage with PVC pipes and lights bulbs. I wasn’t sure what to expect to be honest. But I heard they were great and that they were. I dug them a lot. Obviously from a photographer’s point of view the imagery was seriously great with their outfits, makeup and props. I also found myself digging their music, too. It was a bit of a flash back to a previous era mixed up and modernized with a touch of today. Of course I was snapping away behind the lens and trying my best to not go crazy with those damn twinkly lights. It was fun though. The music was great and before I knew it there set was over and it was time to go home.

It has taken me a little longer than usual to get to this album though it has been on my to-do list. Nothing personal whatsoever either, I just have to take care of clients before I indulge in my own personal creativity. I’ve been so backlogged with sets to work through though I am slowly but surely making my way through. But back to this set in particular. It’s not a large set at all. I posted them all to my Facebook page as per usual but I picked a lucky 13 to share with you here. Go on, have a look see and check them out. Definitely check out Mekronium, too.

Until next time,

The Queen
