Rise, GEARS rocks O’Malley’s

Where do I begin? I had been doing my best to wait patiently for this night. GEARS coming home to South Florida and showing us all that Rock is not dead. South Florida just needed to be woken up and these guys were just the loud ass alarm clock it needed.I am highly selective, not just anyone will do and they are one of my favorite bands for a reason. The passion and energy these guys emit on stage fill you with such a rush, there is no way that you go home without feeling that high. For me, I needed my GEARS fix and I needed it bad. Without fail, they delivered and then some. I was completely wrapped up in it. They played my favorite songs as well as their newest single, KING. It was just about the perfect set.

Now, let me say that my BEAST, he was on fire. I just kept on shooting, lost behind my lens and letting him guide me. From left to right, I worked that venue. The goal was not just encapsulating the moments, but I wanted to capture that energy. Of course, there’s two subjects in every photograph and I will say that BEAST did an excellent job of portraying the feeling I had as well.

Now as for the photos, this was a hard set for me to work through. I loved the lighting and the shadows throughout the night and there were a lot of images. Seriously, a lot. So many that the set I shared with GEARS totaled over 140 which I think will work out just fine for them promotionally since they are heading out on tour with All That Remains this upcoming week. I just couldn’t help myself. There were so many shots that I was loving. It was difficult for me to select my final set for Facebook and even more difficult to narrow down my favorites to share with you here.

That being said, this is a very generous little collection I’m sharing with you now but I strongly encourage that you browse through the Facebook album. There are so many images I wish I could have included here. This night was beyond amazing on so many levels and I will certainly remember it for time to come. Go check out the album, all of it and you’ll see what I mean.

With love,

The Queen
