Into Your Garden, Still Alive at Revolution Live

Let’s take it back a bit in to the Rearview Mirror, shall we? Let’s just see what it can show.

You might have not realized it, but between the title of this post and a section of the intro, I’ve already taken you back. Why? Because of Garden and Rearview Mirror. Both tracks performed by Pearl Jam. Yes, I know, I can get a bit corny. What can I say? All jokes aside, it’s time for another entry and with it, closing out the night of tribute bands performing at Revolution Live a couple of weeks ago. My last post gave you an insight to Crackerman, an STP tribute band. This entry however is to introduce to you, Still Alive, a Pearl Jam tribute.

Let me tell you how much of a great time I had this evening. Both bands were fantastic and as I mentioned in my last entry, it was definitely a trip down memory lane for me full of amazing music and good times. I sung, I danced and I captured. Beast and I were having an absolute blast and I’m hoping to reiterate that with this entry.

Once again, I did set out armed with only my 24-70 mm and I’m thankful that I did. It allowed for me to flutter about the venue luckily being at the right place at the right time to capture some great moments. Still Alive definitely made use of the stage (the VIP seating as well). I did not limit myself to just the photo pit either. It was great being able to tuck in and out from between the crowd. I absolutely love it when I can get personal and even more so when the vibe just feels so good. It’s one of the reasons that shooting live music shows is one of my favorite things to do.

Now, to the photos. This set was an effort in the selection process. I captured so many amazing moments that choosing a top ten was difficult indeed. Luckily I am able to share with just a few more on my Facebook Page and oh how I encourage you to take a peek.

All in all, this night was great and I’m looking forward to the next time. Oh yeah, feedback is definitely welcomed. Let me know what you think. While you’re at it, go visit Still Alive’s Facebook page and see when they’re playing near you.
