Let’s Get Lost

“Her pleasure in the walk must arise from the exercise and the day, from the view of the last smiles of the year upon the tawny leaves and withered hedges, and from repeating to herself some few of the thousand poetical descriptions extant of autumn–that season of peculiar and inexhaustible influence on the mind of taste and tenderness–that season which has drawn from every poet worthy of being read some attempt at description, or some lines of feeling.”
Jane Austen

While I predominately shoot live music, every now and then, I like to step away and step back. To take the time to breathe, to seek clarity and calm. I make it a point to do this every now and then to maintain perspective and to clear my mind. Sometimes it answers every question and sometimes it does so much better by allowing the dream to extend further. Nature is resilient. Nature survives. It is not self-serving, nor selfish. Nature simply is and that’s beautiful.

I will be taking a sabbatical of sorts in the very near future to take care of a few personal projects I have in mind and while I still have a few more bookings and sets to share, chances are I will be going dark in a sense for a little bit. So I decided before that to share with you a quick little collection I put together from a walk I took last weekend. It’s my way of sharing with you my eyes when   I’m not feeling the rush of a music set nor the energy of a crowd. My walking around taking it all in, getting lost inside my head and breathing. I guess you could say this is more personal. This is me.

I do have a few favorites. Ten that to me represent the connections that I feel. Of course there are a few more on my Facebook page and you’re welcomed to go give them a peek.
