Music can transport you to any place and time. Why do I say that? Think about it, do you have a song that reminds of a moment in particular. A song that the instant it plays you recall right where you were and how you were feeling?
There have been quite a few tribute bands stopping through South Florida as of late. The list varies from Purple Madness, a tribute to Prince, Pearl Jam and Stone Temple Pilots to Nirvana. All genres for the most part and it’s a dose of nostalgia, to say the least. With this set, I’m bringing to you the US Stones. While I typically post the supporting band first, this time around I’m choosing not to. There’s really no reason in particular aside from the order that I have my sets to post in my software. I’ve been working on reorganizing my flow a bit differently and so when creating sets, this came up first.
Let me not digress though, let’s talk Stones. I enjoyed them, I really did. They looked the part, sounded good and they were in character playing the equally amusing role. I also dug the colors playing off of them. So much so that I choose to edit these guys a different type of mood. I wanted to show off the colors throughout yet keep in my style of playing with tones. That was how I was feeling this night.
So while I was dancing along with Mick to Shelter, Paint It Black and a few other favorites of mine, I snapped away with my 24-70mm. I did need to bump my ISO a bit and so you will run across a little noise in my shots but I’m hoping you get the idea of the vibe of this band. As always, here are my top 10 with the full set for your viewing pleasure on my Facebook page. Let me know what you think.
